Hundreds turned out to St Patrick’s Church in Fermoy on Tuesday morning as the parish welcomed the first class relics of St Charbel, where Rosary and Holy Mass were followed by a blessing.

Families from as far as West Limerick travelled the distance to view and receive a blessing from the holy relic. As Mass began, St Patrick’s Church filled to the brim with locals and visitors alike.

Three priests – Fr Brian Boyle, Fr Eamonn Roche and Fr Ted Sheehan – celebrated Mass, along with Deacon John McCarthy, while around eight or nine children from local schools acted as servers on the day.
