Speaking at the 50th anniversary celebration of the foundation of Mitchelstown Credit Union in The Firgrove Hotel on Friday night Brian McCrory, president of the Irish League of Credit Unions, challenged the present cohort of credit union board members to show the vision, radical thinking and innovation which was shown by the founding members of MCU.
In the course of a wide ranging speech, he asked that credit unions challenge their own thinking by asking how they can provide a service to all credit union members, no matter where they are on the island of Ireland.
