Local residents in Corrin came face to face with an ‘indiscriminate’ act of dumping on Friday last, as what were described as ‘the contents of a small shop’ were dumped at the entrance to a cul-de-sac, in sight of the Fermoy to Rathcormac roadway.

Speaking with The Avondhu, resident Jim Owers said he was met with the sight when arriving home on Friday night at about 10.15pm with his wife.

“I just could not comprehend the scene. We all see dumping, but I have never seen an incident of fly-tipping as chronic as this one. This is a desperate scenario ..” Jim said.
