Construction work on an €8 million extension at Coláiste an Chraoibhín in Fermoy is on schedule for completion next summer, with the three-storey stand-alone building, located at the rear of the existing building, set to officially open for students and staff in time for the new school year in September 2017.
Sammon Group are carrying out the building work on the 3,846 square metre structure, with Project Manager Peter Clinton saying this week that over 40 per cent of the project has been completed to date, and that the development will be completed in the next five to six months.
Coláiste an Chraoibhín principal Christy Healy said the extension will increase the school’s capacity to 850 when complete.
