Conna locals make the cut in ‘The Good Neighbours’

Familiar faces around Conna are set to feature in an upcoming exhibition at the Blackwater Valley Makers premises in Fermoy.

‘The Good Neighbours’, an exhibition by local Conna artist Lorna MacDonald, opens at the 12 MacCurtain Street location on Saturday, September 7, from 2pm to 5pm with a wine reception and live music, to which all are welcome to attend.

Speaking on her exhibition and the project surrounding it, Lorna said that it was a ‘lot of fun’ bringing the photographic collection to fruition.

“I brazenly took advantage of my fine friends and neighbours in Conna. Through their good nature and helpfulness, they were persuaded to act the part of characters from Irish and Scottish folklore for this largely, whimsical project. These images are the result of great collaboration, years of planning and execution, adventure and adversity. Also, it was a lot of fun,” she said.
