Discarded cans and bottles seen on Sycamore Drive in Conna following a gathering of youths last week.

Residents of Sycamore Drive in Conna have highlighted issues with anti-social behaviour ongoing in the walkway between the back of their houses.

Tuesday of last week (16th) saw residents of the estate woken to the sound of a group of individuals congregating in the walkway between the houses.

A spokesperson told The Avondhu that the issue has gone ‘beyond a joke’ now, with the anti-social behaviour has escalated in recent weeks due to the longer days and warmer weather as summer approaches.

“Some residents living in this small estate have young children, and to be woken to shouting and glass breaking every weekend is not acceptable,” a letter issued by residents to The Avondhu stated.
