Galbally GAA and Galbally Camogie Club pooled their considerable resources to stage a massive fundraiser in The Firgrove Hotel last Saturday night.
The two clubs hosted a ‘Movies Awards Fundraiser’ in association with Fundraising Events Group – an organisation that works with clubs and voluntary groups seeking to raise significant amounts of money.
Last Saturday night was the culmination of many months of intense effort, when representatives from both clubs worked on recreating well known clips from hit movies and television series, such as: Father Ted, Killinaskully, Derry Girls, Bridesmaids, The Snapper, Rocky and Fawlty Towers. Each group, who were sponsored by local businesses, had to reach specific fundraising targets.
