Colaiste an Chraoibhin, a lot going for it – and more to come

Orla Whealan, Gráinne O' Connor and Clodagh Whealan on a guided tour of Coláiste by Tiernan McCarthy.

These are exciting times for everyone associated with Colaiste an Chraoibhin. As 2017 nears its end, contractors Sammon, are putting the final touches to the school’s new extension.

When complete (early 2018), the facility will comprise specialist subject rooms, science and language laboratories, a multi-sensory unit in addition to a new sports hall and performance stage.

Needless to say, students and staff are looking forward to trying out the finished product. While bricks and mortar are important, they don’t define Colaiste an Chraobhin which has experienced continued growth in the last number of years.

The reason for this increased enrolment is the quality of the learning experience, the sense of camaraderie among pupils and the array of academic, social and sporting opportunities available.
