Paul McNulty and his staff at Cheers in Fermoy are rowing in behind the local effort to raise money for victims of the recent deadly typhoon in the Philippines.

All proceeds from the evening of music will go to the disaster appeal. It’s taking place this Sunday, December 1st between 6 and 11pm and will feature top local and Cork musicians. All are welcome to what is shaping up to be a lively and enjoyable session.

Local businessman Noel Barnes, who’s been involved in the fundraising effort locally and plans to travel to the Philippines at Christmas, this week thanked everyone who has donated as he revealed that the figure has topped a very generous €5,000.
