Since the seventies the Tidy Towns group has been responsible for the completion of many projects around the village, see something beautiful around the village and most likely the Tidy Towns group was responsible for it.
Sadly, the poor support of the group’s work in recent times is putting the longevity of the group at risk. Whilst everyone wants to live in a beautiful village the sad reality is very few want to help to make it that way.
If the Tidy Towns group disbands like has happened to other groups around the county the loss to the village will be enormous in lack of fundraising, completion of projects and in the support and focus our Group gives to the village Community Employment Scheme.
Meeting-up Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm or just buddy up with a friend and go out at a different time.
