The children of Castletownroche and surrounding areas received a wonderful surprise last Friday evening, when Santa and his North Pole team, travelled by carriage through the village.
With so many ‘Santa events’ shelved, this was a rare opportunity to get a glimpse of the big man.
Local councillor, Frank Roche, congratulated everyone who helped make it possible.
“Youngsters really enjoyed the spectacle, it gave a buzz to the village and I was very impressed by the whole thing, well done to all concerned,” Cllr Roche told The Avondhu.
