Calls for support of local firefighters as campaign due to escalate

The people of Fermoy have been called on to get behind local firefighters as the national fire service dispute continues, with a show of support called for this Friday evening.

Local woman, Noreen Cody, is organising a rally of support for local firefighters, as they continue to seek better pay and conditions.

“We need our local firefighters on call 24/7. They need to get what they are entitled to. They risk their lives going out to every call, so let’s all come together next Friday and stand united behind the retained firefighters of Ireland, especially our own local lads,” Noreen said.
