Calls for immediate replacement of iconic Pearse Square feature

The recent destruction of an iconic Fermoy feature has raised questions regarding plans for the town under the Fermoy Town Centre Renewal Plan.

A traditional style three-light lamp post, one of two situated on the island in the middle of Pearse Square, has been removed from its location after a collision over the weekend saw the iconic town-centre feature damaged.

According to Gardaí, they are investigating the incident which occurred on Sunday, January 28.
