Cork businesses are being urged to prepare for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as the May 25th deadline for compliance approaches.
‘Get GDPR ready’, hosted by Network Cork, will help organisations prepare for GDPR. The presentation will focus on outlining actionable tasks to assist organisations and their team members in their efforts to become GDPR compliant by the May 25th deadline.
President of Network Ireland Cork Branch, Karen Fleming, this week said: “With little less than 4 months to the May 25th deadline for compliance, GDPR is of huge concern for our members as it affects all businesses. It will significantly change the way we use, manage and store data. It is of utmost importance that all Cork businesses take the necessary steps to become GDPR compliant and are informed of the ways in which this will affect their organisation.”
This is a fantastic opportunity for Cork businesses to come and voice their queries about GDPR or any individual compliance issues they may have.
Whether you own or manage a business, or are an employee, this event will be relevant to you,” she concluded.
The event will be held on Wednesday, February 7 in the River Lee Hotel, Cork.
