The assistant manager of Mitchelstown Credit Union (MCU) has praised the children who took part in their annual art competition, saying that they have ‘great potential’.

Colin Irwin said it is great to see the confidence it gives children and that taking part in things like this will benefit them in the future.

“We might have a President in us. We will have plenty of CEOs, you never know,” he said.

MCU was full of colour and fun last week for the presentations to the winners of the annual art competition and in celebration of International Credit Union Day.

Presentations were made to first, second, third and seven runners up in the under seven, age eight to ten and age 11 to 13 categories, as well as presentations in the special category.
