With just a week to go to the longest day, the need to draw more tourists to Fermoy has once more become a pressing issue.
Fermoy Tourist Office which has been in operation for 3 years now, is calling on locals to get behind the tourism drive in the town by volunteering at the tourist office and by offering their opinions and ideas on how to draw more tourism to Fermoy.
Michael Hanley, chairman of Fermoy Enterprise Board, is calling on the business people of the town to try to attract tourists to the area and when they do visit, 'to treat them with the hospitality they deserve'.
He also said that good traffic management is necessary to make travel easy within the town for tourists.
