Ballygiblin Summer Fete brings fun, games and unstoppable community spirit

New Ballygiblin NS principal, David Hyland, addressing the large crowd in attendance for the Ballygiblin NS Fete.

“A fabulous occasion for the whole Community!”, was the comment made by one very happy attendee at the Ballygiblin School Annual Summer Fete which took place last Sunday, 15th June.

It was such a joy to see so many people turnout to support this fantastic family event. The special ingredient of this popular day is the school children. They work very hard creating the games, preparing the equipment and on the day they themselves manage the running of the stalls. As always, the children did an excellent job. Maith thú!

Good, healthy, traditional fun was the order of the day with favourites such as ‘Welly-Throwing’, ‘Stairway to Heaven’ and ‘Hook-a-Duck” proving as popular, and as competitive, as ever!
