Hometown win for Ballyduff Drama Group

High flying Ballyduff Drama Group, continued where they left off last year, by winning the coveted ‘open’ section of the 41st West Waterford Drama Festival.

This was an early season statement of intent from a group led by charismatic perfectionist Geraldine Canning, whose association with both Ballyduff Drama Group and the prestigious West Waterford Drama Festival goes back over 4 decades. 12 months ago, it was David Lindsay-Abaire’s ‘Rabbit Hole’ that ultimately scooped All-Ireland honours for the Ballyduff Upper group.

For 2023, Geraldine and her inner circle, identified Lucy Kirkwood’s ‘The Welkin’ as possessing the right stuff to continue their winning streak.
