Easter Sunday 100 years ago (April 20, 1919), Araglen RIC Barracks was raided and taken over by the Araglen Company Volunteers in conjunction with Fermoy Battalion, O/C Michael Fitzgerald.

A re-enactment evening will take place in Araglen Hall on Saturday, April 27. The evening will comprise a presentation on the lead up to the raid, barrack history, the participants and pre-recorded scenes from before and after the raid.

The raid itself will be re-enacted on the night with local participants along with the aftermath in Araglen.
