‘Something for everyone’ is promised by the organising committee of Ballyhooly Arts Festival 2013 and they plan to deliver on that promise with a plethora of events and activities to excite, engage, amuse and entertain from this Thursday evening to Sunday.
Music, song, dance, storytelling, artist exhibitions, workshops, concerts, sessions, an historical walk and craft and artisan food stalls will all combine to make for a party atmosphere throughout. The festival is planned as both a great week of entertainment for locals and visitors alike and a magnificent showcase for artistic talent across a range of genres.
“The art exhibition is in place. All bands are committed to attending. The weather promises to be good and excitement is at fever pitch,” Oliver McCarthy, chairman of the organising committee said midweek. He believes the festival, now in its third year, is one of the best in the county and punches above its weight in terms of what it delivers. Taking a look at the extensive programme, it’s hard to argue.
