What a year it’s been for Gaelic Games in Limerick.
Not long after the county’s senior hurlers brought the Liam McCarthy Cup back to Shannonside, their ladies junior football team replicated the feat by accounting for Louth in a brilliant decider.
South Limerick played its part in this success story, so it was entirely fitting that the hard won silverware would pay a visit to Galtee Gaels country.
