The Mercy Miracle Appeal, which raises money for heart and stroke services at MUH in Cork, has received a welcome boost to its coffers thanks to a very successful 45 card drive held in Aghern, Conna, recently.
The card drive, held in The Big Tree bar, was organised by local man Tom Higgins. Despite the bad weather on the night, there was a large attendance which generated much of the funds raised, the final figure helped by a raffle with some great prizes.
Tom extends sincere thanks to Mike and Annette Barry for the use of their premises and for providing refreshments, to County Sound presenters and to all those who donated raffle prizes and supported the event by their attendance. The amount raised was €600.
