There was music, dance, reminiscing of her school days and a guard of honour fit for a president in Scoil an Athar Tadhg on Wednesday, as the Carraig na bhFear school proudly welcomed back past pupil, Hazell Mullins, who is the current president of Veterinary Ireland.
Of course, the visit was both emotional and special for Hazell who was taken aback by the guard of honour provided by Ms Reen’s sixth class. It was also her first visit to the beautiful new school.
Hazell remembered the many fundraising events led by the late Mr O’Driscoll, undertaken during her time as a student that contributed to providing the state-of-the-art new school.
