
Cork Racecourse Mallow is set to bring the curtain down on its 2025 racing calendar with a superb afternoon of national hunt action on Sunday coming, 7th December, as the Bar One Racing Hilly Way Chase takes centre stage.
The feature event, the €100,000 Bar One Racing Hilly Way Chase, promises top-class excitement.T his Grade 2 contest, run over approximately two miles and half a furlong, consistently attracts some of the finest chasers in training and is one of the key fixtures in the national hunt season.
A strong supporting card adds further depth to the day, including the Coolmore N.H. Sires Order of St George Irish EBF Mares Novice Steeplechase (Grade 2) and the Joe Buckley Construction Stayers Novice Hurdle (Grade 3). With quality races from start to finish, it is shaping up to be an afternoon that racing fans will not want to miss.

The first race goes to post at 12 noon and racegoers can look forward to more than just on-track entertainment. After the final race, live music from Handipak will keep the atmosphere vibrant for a further ninety minutes, with the performance free for all attendees to enjoy.

To make travel as easy as possible, Cork Racecourse will once again operate a free shuttle bus service between Mallow town from the car park behind the Hibernian Hotel, the Train Station, and the racecourse, running before and after racing. Visitors are encouraged to leave the car at home and enjoy a hassle-free day out.
