Following the huge success of its inaugural event, which welcomed in excess of 10,000 visitors, the European Motor Show is set to return to the RDS, Dublin on 30–31 January 2027, with Guenther Steiner, David Coulthard and Naomi Schiff set to headline the two-day event and Close Brothers MotorFinance announced as the show’s Headline Sponsor.
Building on the success of its first event in 2026, the European Motor Show 2027 will bring together world-class vehicles, leading automotive brands, industry experts, motorsport personalities and thousands of motoring enthusiasts for what is fast establishing itself as the largest indoor festival of cars & entertainment taking place on the first bank holiday weekend of 2027.
The organisers have ambitions to make the event even bigger, broadening the show’s appeal to motoring enthusiasts, families and visitors of all ages while continuing to grow its profile nationally and internationally.
Bringing some serious Formula 1 star power to Dublin, the European Motor Show 2027 will give visitors the opportunity to hear from three of the most recognisable names in international motorsport. Former Haas F1 Team Principal and Drive to Survive favourite Guenther Steiner will take to the stage alongside David Coulthard MBE, 13-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner and one of the sport’s most respected figures, and former racing driver and Sky Sports Formula 1 analyst Naomi Schiff. Across the weekend, the trio will share stories, insights and experiences from their careers at the highest levels of motorsport, giving Irish fans a rare opportunity to hear first-hand from personalities who have experienced Formula 1 from the pit wall, behind the wheel and in the paddock.
With the announcement of Guenther Steiner on the line up he stated “I am very happy to be part of the lineup for the European Motor Show in Dublin this January. I’m looking forward to sharing the real stories of motorsport management, from drawing up the Haas F1 team on a kitchen table, to the massive ‘Netflix effect’ on car culture and my current role leading the Red Bull KTM Tech3 MotoGP and Moto3 team. I can’t wait to connect with the Dublin crowd.”
Motorsport legend David Coulthard said “Motor shows like this are where the excitement of the sport meets the everyday passion people have for cars, and Dublin has clearly taken to it in a big way. I am looking forward to being part of the event in January and meeting the fans.”
Naomi Schiff, Sky Sports Formula 1 analyst says “There is a real energy building around the European Motor Show, and it is fantastic to see an event in Dublin that welcomes such a broad mix of people into motorsport and the automotive world. I cannot wait to be part of it in January.”

Among the speakers already set to take part in the 2027 European Motor Show are Guenther Steiner, David Coulthard, Naomi Schiff, Nadia Adan, and Mike Brewer, bringing experience and perspectives from across Formula 1, motorsport, motoring, automotive media and the wider industry. A list of leading media personalities will also feature on the line up with Craig Doyle, Declan Quigley, Geraldine Hubert, Neil Briscoe & Josh Hill all confirmed to participate.
The 2027 show will showcase a broad spectrum of the automotive world, from leading brands’ latest models to performance and classic cars, from electric vehicles to motorcycles and the latest developments in automotive innovation and technology. Visitors can expect manufacturer and exhibitor displays alongside live talks, interactive attractions, competitions, premium visitor experiences and an expanded programme for families.
Unique to the show’s main stage is a live programme that brings the audience closer to the action, with an exciting line-up of cars driving on and off stage throughout the day. The live drive-on experience will be one of the central highlights of the weekend, featuring a changing line-up of special interest models, drift cars, vintage cars and Japanese imports, alongside the return of the popular Supercar Catwalk. It will give fans the opportunity to see some of the most striking cars at the show at close quarters, hear the stories behind them and get a fascinating look under the bonnet.
Katie Molony of the European Motor Show, said: “The response to the first European Motor Show exceeded expectations, with more than 10,000 people joining us at the RDS. It demonstrated the appetite that exists in Ireland for a major indoor event that brings the many different parts of the automotive world together under one roof for all the family to experience together.
“For 2027, our ambition is to build on those foundations and deliver an even bigger and more engaging experience. We want people to be able to hear directly from some of the leading names in motoring and motorsport, discover the technology shaping the future of the industry and, most importantly, enjoy a great day out.”
“We are delighted to welcome Close Brothers Motor Finance as our Headline Partner and to work alongside our partners, exhibitors and speakers to continue developing the European Motor Show into an event with a strong international profile.
“Whether you are passionate about cars and bikes, fascinated by new technology or simply looking for something different to experience with the family, we want the European Motor Show to have something for you. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back to the RDS in January.”
Donal Murphy, CEO, Close Brothers Motor Finance Ireland, “The European Motor Show has put Irish automotive on the map, alongside providing an amazing day out for motor enthusiasts from across Ireland and beyond. Like Close Brothers Motor Finance, the team at the European Motor Show is committed to bringing the best of motoring to the RDS and together we’ll continue to do just that with an even bigger and better show on the horizon.”
The European Motor Show has also announced Make-A-Wish Ireland as its Official Charity Partner for 2027, continuing the partnership for a second year.
As part of the partnership, €1 from every European Motor Show 2027 ticket sold will be donated directly to Make-A-Wish Ireland, helping the charity grant wishes to children living with critical medical conditions. Ticket purchasers will also have the opportunity to make an additional voluntary donation.
Make-A-Wish will have an awareness stand within the show’s Family Zone, while car-loving wish children will also be invited to experience the event.
Susan O’Dwyer, CEO of Make-A-Wish Ireland, said: “Make-A-Wish Ireland are excited to be partnering with the European Motor Show for the second-year running. The show gives us an incredible platform to share our mission while raising funds to help grant life-changing wishes to children across the country. In 2027, Make-A-Wish will benefit from a donation per event ticket sold, an engaging awareness stand in the European Motor Show’s Family Zone, and invites for our car-loving wish children to come along and enjoy the event.
A wish gives a child living with a critical medical condition something positive during the most difficult time, creating hope and precious memories for them and their family. That’s ultimately what this partnership strives to create more of.”
A major focus for 2027 will be creating an event that appeals to a broad audience, from dedicated automotive enthusiasts to families experiencing the European Motor Show for the first time.
The European Motor Show is designed for all the family, with a dedicated Family Zone giving younger visitors their own space to enjoy. Featuring a dedicated stage, the family zone programme runs across the weekend and includes magicians, games, interactive quiz’s, traffic light disco’s, entertainers and meet and greets, alongside hands-on challenges using Lego, arts & crafts and other STEM based activities.
At the Digger Café, visitors of all ages can get behind the controls of remote-control diggers, dumpers and crawlers, combining hands-on entertainment for younger visitors – and adventurous adults – with a place to enjoy a coffee.
Once again, accessibility and inclusion will form an important part of EMS 2027. A dedicated autism-friendly hour will take place from 9.00am to 10.00am, providing a quieter and more sensory-friendly environment for autistic visitors and their families before the main event activity begins. The Kids Coach will be working closely with the organisers to provide a welcoming environment where autistic and neurodivergent children and young people can take part, get active and enjoy the event at their own pace.
The Drive Lounge will bring professional sim racing to the show, giving visitors aged 11 and over the opportunity to set their fastest lap, see their performance on the big screen and compete for a place at the top of a two-day leaderboard. Three-lap sessions will be free, with no previous experience required, while everyone who takes part will also enter a bonus prize draw.
The Bike Zone will celebrate two-wheeled performance, adventure and engineering, with a diverse collection of rally, adventure, road and off-road motorcycles showcasing the speed, technology and innovation of modern biking.
