Pedalling for Marymount in M’town

Marymount University Hospital & Hospice remains one of the region’s best supported causes. The reasons for this are the quality of care it provides to patients and their families at what is often one of the most stressful and demanding times of their lives.

Hardly a week goes by without a fundraiser in aid of this great cause.

Last weekend, it was the turn of Rose Keogh and friends to give something back to Marymount. They didn’t do it without assistance and that help came from family, neighbours and friends. The Roche’s, well known business people in Mitchelstown, were also drafted in and bicycle mechanic, Jim, installed two stationary bicycles outside Roche’s Bar. After that, volunteers were required to do some pedalling between the hours of 11am and 4pm last Saturday afternoon. As Rose explained, there was no shortage of willing participants.
