With the backing of the O’Regan family and the support of people from Castlelyons, Britway, Conna, Ballynoe and beyond, a sum of €12,432 has been raised for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The substantial sum was formally presented to association representative, Kate Owers, in The Peddlar’s Rock, Castlelyons last Thursday night. Tinged with sadness because of Angela O’Regan’s sad passing.
The event was also one of hope and encouragement, with Kate pledging that the money would be put to good and productive use. Kate thanked everyone involved in the fundraising.
