Cork County Council are seeking suppliers for 250 removable and expandable flood barriers as part of the Individual Property Protection measures for Midleton and east Cork.
Terms in the tender documents note that the council is not bound to accept the lowest price quote, but no estimated price for the contract was included. The barriers must have easily placeable seals, a minimum number of components to be easily erected and dismantled by one person, and must be at least 68 centimetres high. The barriers need to be reusable, a lifelong product, and suitable for a ‘Marine Environment’.
The barriers must also include a one-year warranty and must be delivered to Midleton directly and within six weeks of the order being placed by Cork County Council. The storage location was not disclosed in the documents.
