Heavy and persistent rain didn’t prevent a very large crowd from attending Tuesday’s open night in St. Colman’s College, Fermoy. Parents and prospective students were greeted by staff and students, who provided guided tours of a facility that has been a seat of learning in Fermoy since 1858.
These tours highlighted the school’s woodwork and technology rooms, computer facilities, technical graphics room, science laboratories, canteen, chapel and after-school study area.
PRINCIPAL’S ADDRESS
In a wide ranging address, principal Sean Lane touched on the tradition of learning he and his staff were continuing at St. Colman’s, the school’s commitment to providing young men with every opportunity to succeed and the sense of community that’s a hallmark of the ‘Colmanite’ experience.
