People living in Ballyhooly continue to be plagued with issues of diminished or non-existent water supply this week as the village yet again suffered disruptions to their water supply with another burst pipe.
Chair of the community council, John Howard, spoke with The Avondhu on Monday afternoon, just as the question of the Ballyhooly water supply was raised, yet again, at a council meeting on the same day.
“There is so much frustration among the residents. There’s planning for more buildings in Lios Ard, and it beggars belief when they can’t even keep the water pressure up in the village,” said Mr Howard.
“It’s beyond frustrating that we are still dealing with water disruptions in Ballyhooly. How long do they expect us to put up with this? And in parallel, they approve planning for more houses!” he said.
