Further information has been requested on a planning application seeking the development of a solar farm in the Castlelyons area.
Amarenco Solar Rathcormac Limited has sought permission for the solar farm covering an area of approximately 41.72ha across the Corrin, Kill Saint Anne North, Clykeel North, Ballinverrig East and West, Deerpark, Knockaduff, Kill Saint Anne South, Ballyarra, Mohera, and Spuree areas of Castlelyons and Fermoy.
The solar farm is proposed to consist of solar photovoltaic panels on ground-mounted frames at a development site boundary which encompasses four previously permitted solar farms, which are now considered in a combined application for ten-year permission.
