GENEROUS GESTURE FROM PALACE PLAYERS: Proceeds from the opening night of The Palace Players’ production ‘Thy Will Be Done’ which was staged recently in The Village Arts Centre, Kilworth, went to Marymount Hospice. The Palace Players were delighted to be able to hand over a cheque for €1,751 on behalf of the drama group and The Village Arts Centre to Joan Roche who accepted it on behalf of Marymount Hopsice following Thursday night's performance of Michael Carey's hilarious comedy, 'The Will Be Done'. The total also included a donation of €100 from the Kilworth Active Retirement Group.

Joan, accepting the cheque from cast member Ber O'Sullivan, said it was a very generous gesture, emphasised that the money would be put to very good use and thanked all involved.

The play runs again this weekend with an extra night added due to demand and to help accommodate some of those who were disappointed due to Friday night's cancellation as well as those who failed to gain admission on Sunday night.

The play, which is being very well received, will have its last four performances on this Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday night at 8.15pm and booking is strongly advised.
