The Carraig na bhFear wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is on the agenda once again as councillors are now calling upon Uisce Éireann (formerly Irish Water) to look into the issue as a matter of urgency.
This comes as Cllr Sinead Sheppard tabled a motion at the Cobh Municipal District meeting to write to the facilities company, to request that Carraig na bhFear be ‘seriously considered’ for works on the WWTP.
Speaking at the meeting on Tuesday, Cllr Sheppard said that the services provider is ‘holding the village to ransom’.
