Castlelyons dairy farmer Donal Sheehan, has been associated with the BRIDE Project since 2018. An initiative that has been very successful in raising awareness about environmental concerns, the project reached the end of its EU funded term in December 2023.

Anxious that a legacy be left behind, Donal and other group members, linked up with local national schools to offer them a number of customised owl nesting boxes.

The schools chosen, based loosely on the BRIDE Project catchment include: Castlelyons, Curraglass, Conna, Ballynoe, Rathcormac, Bartlemy, Watergrasshill, Glenville, Kilmagner, Tallow and Knockanore.
