As birds, dogs, cats, gerbils, beagles, lobsters and owls took over the classrooms in CBS Primary, Mitchelstown for their pet day, it was clear that the day was a resounding success with both pupils and staff members.

Each boy that brought in a pet got the opportunity to share their knowledge with their classmates about how they take care of their pet and what their pet is like.

The school would like to thank any parents or guardians who transported the various pets to and from school and in some cases addressed the classes.

A huge thanks must also go to the furry, feathered or finned friends of the boys from CBS Primary who behaved so excellently and did their owners proud. Thanks to all involved and all at the school are already looking forward to next year's pet day.
