The kind people of Mitchelstown!

We live in a society where we tend to hear the negative stories and not so often the good ones.

Dear Editor,

As I drove in my gate on the evening of Friday, 22nd November, a lady followed me wondering had my young son thrown a set of keys out the window – she thought she had seen it happen at Brigown cemetery. I didn’t realise until two days later that in fact they were our second set of car and house keys that had been accidentally left on the roof of the car.

When I checked with Mitchelstown Garda Station someone had left in the keys and the kind garda on duty offered to drop the keys up to our house, which I had within 15 minutes of the phone call!

I didn’t get the name of the lady who followed me in my gate, or the person who dropped the keys into the Garda station or indeed the garda who personally returned my keys. To each of you I would like to say a very big thank you. We live in a society where we tend to hear the negative stories and not so often the good ones.

Regards,

Anne Lynch,

Mulberry,

Mitchelstown.
