Popular RTE broadcaster Ryan Tubridy was spotted in Fermoy on Tuesday afternoon. It appeared to be a social call as the Late Late Show and morning radio show presenter stopped by O'Brien's Sandwich Bar and cafe for tea and sandwiches with a woman believed to be a family member.

Staff at O'Brien's say he was friendly and most gracious, signing autographs for them and posing for photographs.

Meanwhile it's been learned that the Morning Ireland team will be in Fermoy around noon on Sunday to record a segment for the show. RTE's early morning current affairs show has almost half a million listeners each day.
