Hopes that Silver Pail Dairy can be saved

News that an interim examiner has been appointed by the High Court to Silver Pail Dairy, has come as a major shock to Fermoy and surrounding areas this week.

Hopes however arte, that the Government will utilise all the supports available to help the company remain in business.

The company which employs 82 full-time staff along with a number of contract workers, informed its staff on Monday afternoon of the difficulties in which it finds itself. 

It is further understood the company which is family-owned, has been in contact with its electricity suppliers to ensure that power to the plant is not cut off.
