Over €20,000 has been raised for Ballylanders Village Park through the combined efforts of the Morning Star Vintage Club Christmas Lights run and a Monster Raffle.

The Vintage Club raised €1,520 for the valuable amenity, while the raffle – won by the National School – netted a cool €18,600 profit.

Held on Sunday, December 12, the Christmas Lights run saw a great turnout of tractors, trucks and vintage tractors for the fundraising event, with all proceeds going towards the Ballylanders Village Park.

“We had a great turn out, lovely to see so much support from the start of the run to the return. We travelled to Glenbohane, back to the main road where we met up with the big man himself …” a spokesperson for the club said.
