“All we want is our house to be done. Even a completion date is something to look forward to. At the moment we are waking up and it’s killing us wondering when it is going to happen,” said local man Stephen Pratt.
In April of 2020, Mr Pratt and his wife signed the contracts to purchase a house in Shanowen, Rathcormac, a house that is still unfinished to this day.
At the time, the house was purchased from plans of the site and despite signing in April 2020, Mr Pratt alleges that there was no movement on the development until October 15 when machinery was brought in to clear the site and foundations were poured in early November.
