Watergrasshill is set to be ‘recentered’ as works to develop a new focal point for the village are nearing completion under the Watergrasshill Village Enhancement scheme.
The new plaza, a public realm enhancement similar to that of a town square, saw work commence in November 2021 and is located at the top of the village near the modern apartments.
Speaking with The Avondhu, Barry Curtin, vice-chairperson of Watergrasshill Community Association, said that the new plaza will see the centre of the village ‘shifted’.
