An incident at Griston Bog in Ballylanders has been reported by a member of the public, in which they allege they were followed by a man along the boardwalk in a manner that was suspicious and frightening.

The incident occurred at approximately 3pm on August 17th, at the popular amenity.

The woman, who does not wish to be named, was with another female friend at the time and between them they had three young children with them.

“There was two of us there, with three children in total. We’d had a lovely afternoon, people were there working, on a birdwatching hut.

“We had a picnic, went off walking around the woods, and we came out at the bottom of the woods. You can walk a loop that brings you back out on to the main boardwalk.”
