The grieving mother of a little boy has said her son would be proud that a new road safety book has been dedicated to him.
The new book by Cork County Council entitled ‘Sally & Jake – Think Road Safety’, was launched at a road safety event last Thursday morning, its aim – to provide primary school children in second to fifth class a new way to learn about the dangers of our road network.
The book is dedicated to Fionn Doyle, from Kildorrery who lost his six year battle with Leukaemia, before sadly passing away at age 7 in January 2019.
An Garda Siochana took him under their wing and before his death they fulfilled his dream of becoming an honorary garda.
