Management at Mallow General Hospital wish to advise the public that the day of Industrial Action by the INMO on Tuesday, 5th February 2019 will affect patients and services.
As a result, all Out Patient, Inpatient and Day Surgery appointments at the hospital will be cancelled and the Injury Unit will be closed.
Cork University Hospital, Cork University Maternity Hospital, South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital, Bantry General Hospital, and Mercy University Hospital will also be impacted.
In relation to Community Healthcare services, routine community nursing services and health centre nurse clinics will be cancelled. Public day centres and day hospitals for older people or people with disabilities will close. All planned admissions, including respite and rehabilitation, to public community nursing units and specified centres for people with intellectual disability will be cancelled.
Management at these hospitals request that people only attend for emergency services if absolutely essential.
Any updates on patient services will be notified via the media, on social and will also be posted on the HSE website.
