The very successful ‘Local Bar, Glanworth Awards’ continued last Friday night with Glanworth Tidy Towns Group and The Glanworth Players being honoured for their contribution to village life.
Glanworth Tidy Towns Group is a relatively new organisation, however, it has won universal praise for efforts to enhance Glanworth and its environs.
Composed of active and conscientious volunteers, these individuals aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty and they can be seen regularly on litter picks or engaged in improvement projects.
Also honoured on the night were The Glanworth Players – another voluntary organisation whose remit is to entertain the public.
Formerly known as Glanworth Theatrical Guild, the group first came to prominence in the 40s and 50s.
