A trip to Tallow and a dip in Coumshingaun Lough in the Comeragh Mountains were on the cards this week for 82-year-old Paddy Conagahn as he continued his bid to raise funds for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA).

A native of Arranmore Island, Donegal, Paddy is on a mission, ducking and driving around the lakes of Ireland with the aim of doing a lake swim in every county in a bid to raise funds for the cause. This week, he paid a visit to Tallow in west Waterford before heading in the direction of Dungarvan for a swim at Coumshingaun Lough.

ADMIRATION

Speaking with The Avondhu, Tallow local Donnchadh Mulcahy explained that he and MCG Kayaks first got to know Paddy around two years ago through another fundraiser.
