Eighty volunteers in total came together in Galbally on Good Friday as part of the biggest community clean up event ever undertaken throughout Limerick city and county.
Speaking for the organisers in Galbally, Jim Cussen said: “We were delighted with all the people who took time off work and those who gave up their spare time to support this great community endeavour. It is clear that the community spirit is alive and well in Galbally.”
Among some of the more exotic treasures found on the roadside, were a top set of false teeth, the owner of same can apply to Mr Binman for recovery!
The project, an initiative sponsored by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund and administered by Limerick City and County Council, is endorsed by Paul O’Connell and the official partners include Mr Binman, The Limerick Leader and Limerick’s Live 95FM.
