A local boy, who stole the hearts of the world with his brave fight against cancer, has sadly died.

Seven-year-old Fionn Doyle passed away at his home in Kildorrery surrounded by his family as the New Year dawned.

Fionn, was diagnosed with leukaemia when he was just 18-months-old. He underwent treatment and went in to remission in the summer of 2016.

However, tragically he suffered a relapse six months later. A bone marrow transplant in December 2017 failed to stem the cancer.
