Construction work on the large-scale social housing development of 46 houses adjacent to Gaelscoil de hide, Fermoy is due to begin at the end of April.
It is hoped the project – a joint initiative between Cork County Council and the housing agency Respond! – will be completed within 18 months.
The project progressed through the Part VIII (public consultation) planning application process in 2017 and was approved by the Fermoy Municipal Authority in May 2017, before receiving final approval at a full meeting of the council in June.
