Construction of 336 residential units and a creche have been sought at Coolcarron in Fermoy, in a case that has gone before An Coimisiún Pleanála as a Strategic Housing Development.
Proposed to be located off the Cork Road, in the Duntahane area, the housing development was previously submitted to An Bord Pleanála, who in 2025 refused permission, however, the decision was quashed by order of the High Court.
Cumnor Construction Ltd, the applicant, is seeking a residential development consisting of 242 houses, and 94 duplex/simplex units, along with a 587m2 creche facility on a site of 11.75ha, located to the rear and south of the existing Texaco service station.
